Stephanie Lim Capello
Executive Director
stephanie@petersplaceonline.orgStephanie Lim Capello brings tremendous nonprofit experience to the role, having served in leadership positions with The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Please Touch Museum, and The Philadelphia Zoo. For the last three years, Stephanie has been the Director of Admissions, Marketing and Business Development for ESF Camps & Experiences. Stephanie earned her B.A. from Villanova University and currently serves as Board President of Villanova’s Alumni Association and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Her strong commitment to serving youth and families and making a difference in their lives is what connects her to the mission of Peter’s Place.
Trish Corvo, M.Ed.
Development Manager
trish@petersplaceonline.orgTrish Corvo earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism at Temple University and her Master's in Education at Villanova University. Trish has over 17 years of fundraising experience, working for organizations such as The Philadelphia Zoo, the Philadelphia Orchestra, The Curtis Institute of Music, and The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Most recently, she was the Director of Advancement at A Step Up Academy, a school for students with autism, where she helped launch their fundraising program and oversaw all fundraising operations and community partnerships. Trish is excited to be part of Peter's Place and help get the funding to support its mission.
Joseph Kelly, MA, LPC
Director Of Programs
joseph@petersplaceonline.orgJoseph Kelly earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in clinical psychology from West Chester University. Joseph interned at Peter’s Place, and was later hired as the first Outreach Coordinator, from 2007-2008. He then spent 10 years working as a mental health therapist at Valley Forge Military Academy and College. Joseph is also employed at Club La Maison, where he is a certified personal trainer. It is here where he runs a small private practice working with teens and young adults, combining exercise and talk therapy. Joseph is licensed in Pennsylvania as a Professional Counselor.
Mimi Dambro, MSW, LSW
Assistant Director of Programs
mimi@petersplaceonline.orgMimi earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bloomsburg University and her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Mimi is also a licensed social worker. Prior to working at Peter’s Place, Mimi was placed at Child Guidance Resource Centers (CGRC) in their school-based program working with youth in grades K-8 in Delaware County. In addition to CGRC, Mimi was placed at the University of Pennsylvania’s Interdisciplinary Child Advocacy Clinic working with youth in foster care and custody proceedings. Her passion for supporting youth and their families is what connects her to the Peter’s Place mission.
Carla Levins, LCSW, CT
Assistant Director, Community Services
carla@petersplaceonline.orgCarla Levins is a licensed social worker and a certified thanatologist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from Fordham University and master’s degree in Social Work from New York University. Carla has over 9 years of experience in the area of grief and bereavement. Prior to working at Peter’s Place, Carla worked at Gift of Life Donor Program providing bereavement support and outreach to families of organ and tissue donors. Whether facilitating groups, educating the community or sharing the mission; Carla is honored to be a part of the team at Peter’s Place.
Pat Wong Connolly, LCSW, CT
Onsite Group Facilitator
pat@petersplaceonline.orgPat earned her master’s degree in college counseling and student development from the University of Delaware and her master's in social services from the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. She worked in higher education for many years with diverse college students in counseling and programming capacities. Pat, a licensed clinical social worker and certified thanatologist, maintains a private practice in Wayne where she sees individual adult clients. Having been a volunteer facilitator at Peter’s Place for five years before joining the staff, she has a deep appreciation for the mission and model of work at Peter’s Place.
Carrie Cottone, PhD, ATR-BC
School-Based Group Facilitator
carrie@petersplaceonline.orgCarrie Cottone is a Board-Certified Art Therapist. In 2008, she received her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from Drexel University. For over eight years, she worked as an Art Therapist with pediatric hematology/oncology patients and their families. She then returned to Drexel University and earned her doctorate in Creative Arts Therapies. Along with working for Peter’s Place, Carrie works at a local private practice in Wayne. She is proud to be a part of a program that offers and values accessible grief support for the community.
Allie Hoffman, MSW, CCIC
Onsite Group Facilitator
allie@petersplaceonline.orgAllie earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Ithaca College. She went on to receive her master's degree in Social Work from University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Certificate in Crisis Counseling and continues to work with clients in trauma settings. Her passion for being a part of a safe healing space for children on their grief journey led her to Peter’s Place as a volunteer facilitator before accepting a position as an Onsite Group Facilitator.
Laura Kennedy

She has many years of experience in office and operations management, and most recently worked for FAME, Inc. in Wilmington, DE. Laura is excited to continue her career in nonprofit at Peter's Place and supporting the organizations mission.
Lizann McLaughlin, MEd, CCLS
Onsite Group Facilitator
lizann@petersplaceonline.orgAfter serving as a volunteer at Peter’s Place for 10 years, Lizann is excited to continue supporting the mission of Peter’s Place as a staff member. Lizann earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgetown University and her master’s degree in Community Agency Counseling from George Mason University. Her experience as a certified child life specialist, helping hospitalized children and families cope with medical procedures, surgeries, and diagnoses, has deeply informed her understanding of grief and loss. Most recently, she interned at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia providing therapy to children and families with hearing loss to complete Arcadia University’s Post-Master’s Program in Counseling for Licensure Readiness. Lizann finds it an honor to work with the staff, volunteers, and families that make up the Peter's Place community.
Jessica Pologruto, MSW, LSW
Family Services Manager
jessica@petersplaceonline.orgJessica Pologruto is a Licensed Social Worker, having received her master’s degree from New York University. Prior to working at Peter’s Place, Jessica worked as a medical social worker at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for 5.5 years. Jessica also worked with Catholic Charities of Queens at a behavioral health clinic, The Door a Center for Youth in Manhattan, and New Design High School of the Lower East Side. She is very excited to bring her enthusiasm and passion to the children and families of Peter’s Place.
Marissa Roberto
Communications Coordinator
marissa@petersplaceonline.orgMarissa earned her bachelor’s degree in digital communication and social media from Cabrini University. There, she was heavily involved in the communication department and was a part of Cabrini’s Catholic Relief Services student ambassador program. She later interned with CRS as their North East Mid-Atlantic Intern, where she gained exposure to international relief, development, and worked on multiple social media campaigns. Marissa is excited to be supporting the mission of Peter’s Place.
Noah Zegstroo
Program Intern
noah@peteresplaceonline.orgNoah Zegstroo is a social work intern, currently working on his master's in social work at West Chester University. He is a certified exercise physiologist, with a B.S. in exercise science who currently manages a fitness center, leading fitness classes, running wellness programs, and doing personal training. Noah volunteered for 4 years at Legacy Arts, an afterschool art program in Chester, and has been on the board of Tel Hai Camp in Honeybrook for 2 years. Noah is grateful for the opportunity to intern with Peter's Place and join this amazing team.
Maria Payne
Finance Manager
maria@petersplaceonline.orgPrior to joining Peter’s Place, Maria worked as the staff accountant for ESF, Inc., and managed the finances for the two non-profit foundations: Acting Without Boundaries and Dream Camp. She is currently the Account Manager on the Finance Team at GenVault/DocuVault. With experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, Maria is bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to further the mission of Peter's Place.
