The Organization
Founded in 2001, Peter’s Place is a nonprofit organization committed to providing safe and supportive environments for grieving children and families and to act as a community resource to foster understanding of the effects of death and grief. At its Radnor location, Peter’s Place offers peer support groups for children and their caregivers and for young adults following the death of someone significant in their lives. Peter’s Place also brings support groups to grieving children within their school settings. Groups are facilitated by our professional staff and volunteers who participate in an extensive thirty-hour training program. https://petersplaceonline.org/
The Position
The Marketing & Communications Intern will support the Communications Coordinator and gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and public relations, with a focus on social media strategy and engagement. The intern will assist with key initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing, Development, and Program teams, contributing across multiple platforms. Responsibilities include content creation, campaign execution, community engagement, event planning, and more to support the organization’s mission and vision that no child should grieve alone.
Position Requirements
- Open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors in College
- Prefer Communications and/or Marketing Majors (not required)
- Some experience in social media marketing and content creation
- Familiarity with content creation software such as Canva and Adobe Suite
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic and strong copywriting skills
- The following clearances are required:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearances (CY113)
- Pennsylvania Criminal Records Checks (SPA-164)
- Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Checks
